The Lost & Found EP

A 7 track leftfield/idm ep (26m 59s) — released March 28th 2011 on Case Study

Prior to the release of this debut EP, Anchorsong established himself as an outstanding live act. He's a highly skilled MPC player, and his real-time sampling show grabbed attentions quickly after his relocation from Tokyo to London in 2008. He's supported Bonobo, Prefuse 73, DJ Krush, Daedelus, Gonjasufi and many more. Naturally, his confidence as a live act makes this record quite different from anything else on the current UK underground scene. Contemporary beats are effortlessly combined with the timeless melodies of guitar, piano, organ and strings. This record compels a new definition of the term "Live Electronics". The EP has received props from Prefuse 73 and has sold more than 3000 copies in Japan since it's release in June 2010. We have 200 copies of the initial pressing which comes with a DVD featuring his live performance with a String Quartet. Don't sleep!

He is absolutely a genius - Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1

Anchorsong's live show will blow you away and this EP is a great introduction to that experience. It's the only CD I've listened to and can picture the artist onstage playing each track. A talented new edition to the MPC musicians! - James Yuill, Moshi Moshi

cool beats with a great sense of hope - Stuart McCullam

Super cool beats & pieces from Anchorsong which was one of the most original and exciting live shows we had the privilege to put on - Ali B, Fabric / Air
